I provide treatment to individuals throughout the lifespan using a developmental framework that relies on research and my clinical training. This includes children, teens and adults.

Children

Therapeutic work with children can be challenging, but creartive interventions can help kids express their feelings and worries more openly. However, if the child is too young, or simply not ready to engage in individual therapy, I work with parents to implement the best environmental interventions to assist in symptom reduction.

Teens

The teenage years are tough. During this period of development, there are significant growing pains, social challenges, and major life transitions. Therapeutic support can help. Depending on the individual and their developmental capacities, more goal-directed therapy may be indicated, or it may be that supportive therapy with gentle guidance is best.

Adults

Mental health challenges affect individuals at all stages of life, including adulthood. That said, the way that people are impacted and treated can change at various points throughout the life course. Depression can look different for different populations, and identifying the right treatment option for the individual is a key component to successful psychotherapeutic care.

Older Adults

In our elder years, there are specific situational challenges that differ from other stages of life. Medical issues are more common, grieving and loss are more prevalent, and milestones such as retirement can lead to adjustment and challenge. Positive outcomes can take longer to achieve, but psychotherapy can help.
