What does therapy cost?
Many people assume that therapy costs are too much to manage. This sentiment may be a bit outdated. Therapy used to be a service for the wealthy only, but over the course of the past few decades, mental health care has been woven into our health care system. In general, this has made therapy much more affordable and accessible to most people.
Contact me, we’ll figure it out together.
Insurance.
I accept many of the major insurance types. My goal is to accept as many insurance types as possible to help families handle the costs of mental health care. If you are uncertain whether I accept your insurance specifically, please feel free to contact me or call the number on the back of your insurance card. Currently, I accept:
Blue Cross / Blue Shield
Tufts
Medicare
Harvard Pilgrim
United / United Behavioral Healthcare
Health Plans, Inc.
Allways
High Deductible Plans
Not all insurance plans are created equal. Some plans have a high deductible, and this can get confusing. As part of the process when you first contact me, I will be calling your insurance company to get a clear picture of what your costs would be to engage in therapy.
Out of Network Benefits
If you have an insurance type that I do not accept, there are still some options. Many plans have coverage for out-of-network benefits, in which you submit claims yourself to your insurance company. Contact me to learn more about this option, and we can work together to find a solution that allows you to get the care you need.
Out of Pocket
Most insurances cover mental health services. When individuals choose to pay out of pocket, this is something that we figure out together. If you are interested in this option, contact me and we can come up with a plan together.
